Thanks for posting that. It's good to hear how much he's enjoying his VO work. I've read/heard interviews by other VO actors and they all seem to
really love their jobs. Must be a fun way to earn a living! In the interview he comes across as a very nice down to earth kind of guy, doesn't he? By the
way, this has nothing to do with Will's VO work, but I recall reading several years back that Will was dating an actress, Jennifer Morrison. Does anyone
know if that was the same actress who now plays on House? Just curious.

Yes, it is the same Jennifer Morrison who costars with Hugh Laurie on House. You can check it out on IMDB. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0607185/

I see ... I checked it out and see she was in The Random Years so that was Will the connection. By the way I noticed RY was back in 2002! I can't believe
it's been 7 years! Sorry to get so off topic here. Wish there were more Will news to discuss, but the interview was cool.

The interview was another surprising find that I just accidentally ran across. I know I should be grateful for anything news worthy -- but agreeing with what you said, it leaves us with little to discuss. To my disappointment, it seems that voice work and vid games is his final and only choice . Even though he's good at what he does ... and I know I should respect his decisions... and even though it makes me appear super selfish... I still wish he would occassionally bless us with at least a few guest starring roles. Guess it just isn't meant to be. |

I, too, would like to see Will onscreen again. (I'm not a fan of 'cartoons' for the most part so don't keep up with his VO work.) I wonder if
the pickin's are slim our there for actors who are seeking decent roles and that's why. I can't think he would turn down an onscreen role for the
sake of his VO work. But with more TV networks than ever, it surprises me that he hasn't done a part, even as a guest star sometime somewhere. I'm
guessing that the competition in that area is pretty stiff. I've watched a lot of shows and thought : Will could do this part! I've seen a lot of roles
out there that he could 'fit' right into at his age. So I'm puzzled as to why we haven't seen him more. Perhaps you're right and it is his
decision to do VO right now. It didn't really sound in the interview like he preferred VO work over on-screen roles, did it? But who knows? He does seem to
be enjoying it quite a bit. I suppose like the rest of us these days, actors are just grateful to have a regular paycheck coming in. I used to be in touch with
someone who was a peon at ABC studios who told me back a couple of years ago that Will was one of the actors who had read for a couple of series but the roles
went to other actors. Both shows are now defunct but before they got canceled, I did watch them and could totally see Will in those roles. Too bad I'm not
a casting director (hee-hee!) the guy would always be on-screen!

Gosh I've been so busy working I did not even look at my board until tonight. Thanks for finding that interview. So nice to hear from him.
I do agree, I would love to see him on camera again, even if it is a TV movie again or something like that. ![]() |

I'm not a fan of cartoons either, but have to admit I fell in love with Will's Batman series (as well as his voice!) and taped all the eps. But the Ron Stoppable character just grated on my nerves. The show was cute and funny, but just too juvenile for me to appreciate. Jason once told me that voice work provided an outstanding paycheck and was easy and dependable work. You don't have to prepare
yourself for being in front of the camera or hassle with producers/directors or other irritating actors. So I can see the upside. At least I'm happy to hear that Will at least has tried out for roles. It gives me a glimmer of hope that he hasn't given up the thought of TV work completely. But I can also understand how upsetting it must have been for him to have had 2 failed sitcoms (Go Fish and Random Years) in a row. He's doing so well where he's at so of course it only stands to reason that he has to go with where he can get a steady paycheck. Did your friend at ABC happen to say what roles he tried out for? Just curious. I, too, wish you were a casting director BW. It would be wonderful seeing Will on screen again on a regular basis. Even a few guest appearances would sooth my agitated soul. I so miss his talented self and still believe he belongs in front of the camera. His facial expressions, line delivery and comedic timing were absolutely brilliant. |

Is there such a thing as dramady? Because I don't really like sitcoms (BMW was one of the exceptions, especially in the early seasons -- later it got too
slapsticky to me), but I think Will would be perfect in a role that has a little humor mixed in with seriousness. My fave performances of his on BMW were
always the tender and sentimental scenes. I really thought he was good at that. Also, #1wf, I would love to say which roles in those ABC sitcoms he supposedly
auditioned for, cause I think it would be a fun discussion as to whether everyone thinks he'd have suited those roles, but this person who passed on the
info was a total 'nobody' at the studio who had just heard rumors flying about which different actors/actresses had auditioned for which roles, so
it's pretty much unsubstantiated info. Sandy and all you other posters do such a good job of keeping the site clean of 'rumors', I'd like to
follow that example. Sorry for bringing it up in the first place -- sometimes I talk without thinking first. Just wanted to say that I could totally see him
doing those roles, even better than the person who got the part in one instance. (But then I know absolutely nothing about acting so who am I to say?) By the
way, I agree, #1, I doubt Will has given up the thought of TV work altogether. I bet he'd be interested in any good part he was offered.

Is there such a thing as dramady? Absolutely! Examples: Murphy Brown; The Wonder Years; Buffy the Vampire Slayer; Ally McBeal; Scrubs; Monk; Ugly Betty; Desperate Housewives; Boston Legal, etc. I know I've bored all of you to tears harping for years on wanting to see Will experiment with drama. I know making people laugh is where his heart is, but doing a few - or at least ONE serious role - wouldn't kill him. In my opinion, I think it would be good for his career since it would prove he could do both comedy and drama (and especially "dramedy"). I understand what you're saying about bringing up rumors and unconfirmed info. It can be damaging as well as dangerous. I was just wondering if he was still searching for comedic parts only. Many sitcoms these days are so shallow, unoriginal and totally unfunny that it's no big shock they're short-lived. I sincerely hope you're right about Will being interested in any good part he was offered. I know all those who remember his work
with fondness would love to see him in action again. Voice work is simply no match for facial expression. (Again, just my humble opinon) |
