Anyway, it's being filmed in Provo Utah, so anyone living in or around that area could probably find some first hand info. www.songwritersguild.com/.../index.php Soundtrack Opportunity for Feature Film Dream Guy Productions is currently accepting submissions of songs to be considered for use in the upcoming romantic comedy Love Surreal, starring Shiri Appleby (Swimfan, "Roswell"), Nick Zano (Catch Me If You Can), Eddie Kaye Thomas (American Pie), Sarah Chalke ("Scrubs") and Edie McClurg (Dickie Roberts: Former Child Star, Ferris Bueller's Day Off). Bateman, music supervisor for Love Surreal. It's fascinating that after playing 'Cal' in Gold Diggers, he is once again playing a character by the name of Calvin.... Sun 3/21/2004 9:58 PM This is J Bateman, music supervisor for 'Love Surreal'. Will Friedle is in the film as a character named Calvin, a role in which Eddie Kaye Thomas was originally cast. Apparently, there were some scheduling conficts or something. Also, Alexandra Holden was cast in a principle part that was originally considered for Sarah Chalke. Otherwise, the cast is the same: Shiri Appleby, Nick Zano, Edie McClurg, etc. How did you hear about the film? J ~ Suzanne ~

Counting on it says the movie is coming out Fall 2004 and its already Spring 2004. As for the Eddie Kaye thing all I have to say is HA HA HA!!

Bateman. Seems the movie is finished & it's in editing. Wouldn't it be odd if we get to see LS before Gold Diggers?? Hi Suzanne, Thanks for the Email and your kind words. It was fun to hear a little more about you. I didn't know Will before the shoot, but from what I saw on set he may steal the show! Very funny guy! I forwarded your inquiry to a producer who promised me she would send you some update information as it comes up. If you don't hear from her feel free to write me and I'll keep you updated with what I know. The film wrapped shooting last week and now they bury themselves in the editing room. While they do that I'm busy looking for songs and looking for artists and writing and producing songs for the soundtrack. Once the picture is "locked", it comes to me and I finish off whatever underscore there is (the orchestral music that underscores scenes in addition to the soundtrack songs.) For me this is really the fun part of the process...to see how it all comes together. Anyway, thanks again for the Email and I look forward to hearing from you again.
